Access the "server side" on SWAN?

Dear SWAN team,

We were wondering the following question…

When you open a notebook server (other than SWAN), you can always monitor the activity on the server side from your terminal. Typically you would access information about the kernel status, or - and this is our use case - warnings/errors you might get while using modules like cpymad. Those errors are useful for debugging but are not displayed in the notebook itself.

So the question is: is there a way, in SWAN, to access this “server side” ?

I hope that the question is clear. If not, do not hesitate to ask me for clarification.

Hi Axel,

At the moment this is not possible.

We have added this issue to our plans (allow our users to access the logs from their Docker containers) but we haven’t done anything about it yet. This might come after we migrate to the new infrastructure (k8s), which we are currently finalizing.
