Database disk image is malformed

With a SWAN script I am using pagestore, as follows:
mydb = pagestore.PageStore(‘mydata.db’, ‘./…/…/MKITempdata’)

This afternoon I have started to get the following error message:
DatabaseError: database disk image is malformed

Any ideas, please, what this means and how to cure/avoid this problem.

Note: the path is to my CERNBox
