Jan-Hendrik is visiting CERN this week, and has recently been working on combing the power of Jupyter with the power of Blender to produce interesting and beautiful 3d visualisations. This presentation is about the future potential of such a combination, as well as more generally providing an external view of some of the tools that are commonly being used today for Python development. Full details can be found at Data visualisation using Blender within Jupyter notebooks (16 January 2025) · Indico.
The meeting will have a webcast for remote attendance, however the presentation will not be recorded and we encourage in-person attendance where possible.

Thanks to those who attended this presentation. I received quite some feedback that due to conflicting meetings, it would be very convenient to have a recording of the event. I fed this back to our speaker, Jan-Hendrik, and he has confirmed that he is happy for the recording to be made public. I have therefore uploaded it to the indico event (at the bottom of the page): Data visualisation using Blender within Jupyter notebooks (16 January 2025) · Indico. Direct link:
I take this opportunity to state that there exists a Python @ CERN user’s mailing list (which has been dormant for many years - it was last active around the time that EuroPython was hosted at CERN in 2006!). If you are not already a member, I encourage you to sign up - it is my intention to announce events such that this one through python-users@cern.ch in the future. My hope is that we can build a useful community where we can share interesting events and news, and discuss matters around Python and Python conferences. Direct eGroup link.
